WUDAPT Workshop to be held in CUHK on 5–6 Dec 2016


Organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), University College Dublin, the University of North Carolina and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, a two-day workshop on World Urban Database and Access Portal Tool (WUDAPT, www.wudapt.org) will be held on 5–6 December 2016 in CUHK, Hong Kong.


The theme of this workshop is “various applications of WUDAPT products”. The invited speakers will show how the WUDAPT products can be implemented in climate modeling simulations benefit climate-sensitive urban design and planning. The workshop goal is to use WUDAPT methods to provide a map of the urban landscapes of each city and assess their climate effects. This will serve as a useful reference and basis to local government and researchers for future urban development. Papers and posters are invited on WUDAPT applications, result validation methods, urban morphology detection and the global carbon project. Registration is open until 30 December.
