WUDAPT Workshop to be held in CUHK on 12-13 Dec 2015

Organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), University College Dublin, the University of North Carolina and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, a two-day workshop on World Urban Database and Access Portal Tool (WUDAPT) will be held on 12–13 December 2015 in CUHK, Hong Kong.
This WUDAPT workshop will introduce the Local Climate Zone (LCZ) classification scheme, and especially the protocol and the initial development of WUDAPT initiative (http://www.wudapt.org/). Through the proactive participation of local urban experts and researchers, the application of level 0 method using the LCZ scheme will help to acquire and gather urban climatic information on global cities, and also to develop a standard way of description and comparison of the cities around the world. The attendees will also be trained in developing new database for selected cities in China, and discuss the way forward on the WUDAPT database.
