The Sustainable and Environmental Design Team was established in 1999. We investigate the sustainable and environmental design of buildings and urban spaces with a particular focus on sub-tropical high-density urban environment. Research focuses on projects associated with the effect of urban morphology on microclimatic conditions as well as outdoor thermal comfort within complex urban settings. Research findings contribute to the formulation of design tools and good practice guidelines for the benefit of professional practitioners in the field of architecture, urban planning and design, public health and human well-being.
