Liangshui Village of Runxi Township is located in the southwest Pengshui County. The village has 4 villagers group, a population mainly Tujia and Miao of about 1,500 people. The per capita net income is about 3,100 yuan.

Potential bridge site is located at the junction of Liangshui Village and Yanjiao Village. It is about 12 kilometers away from the township government. When the river water rises, it is impossible to pass. Besides, there is a 2 kilometers long and 1 meter wide dirt road near the bridge. It is extremely difficult to take it in rainy days. Villagers need to take 4 kilometers of mountain road to reach the other side of the river.

Oct 2018 - project progress

Under the assistance of the villagers, "Yi Xin Qiao" of Liangshui Village was successfully completed on 20 Oct 2018.

At the same time, the team also repaired the road for the villagers to solve the access problem in rainy days.

Jun 2018 - 1st Investigation

The team conducted the 1st investigation trip in Jun and initially proposed to design a 12-meter footbridge for the villagers.
